Destruction

7thsonYesterday I said JC Hutchins did something no podcaster had done yet, he pissed me off. He did it again today when he made me cry.

7th Son Book 3 – Destruction has more twists and turns in it than Morevi did, though I think Tee still has JC beat on intrigue, and in all of its destructive and sentimental glory, Hutchins finished a damn find series with the ultimate ending. I cannot think of a single loose end that was left undone, the storytelling and character growth within the series is completed exponentially within Destructions 40+ chapters. I really can’t wait to get my hands on all three books. Only have to wait a year, maybe two, though god knows I have no patience.

Within the embrace of Destruction the remaining clones find themselves returned to the 7th Son facility to mend wounds and puzzle out what they need to do next. It doesn’t take long for them to work out that Alpha has plans for the UN and one of them must go undercover, finally putting the chinks into secrecy and security of the 7th Son program. Invasion is the next problem on the list, bringing the clones back to the 7th Son facility to play out their endgame.

Okay, I’ve read that wannabe synopsis three times and don’t think I spoiled anything. I don’t think I can spoil anything, I’m still buzzing from the final chapters of the story and the beautiful twist at the end.

This is not, thank god, the end of 7th Son though it is the end of the trilogy. JC has announced 7th Son Obsidian, which allows fellow podcasters/authors into his playground to go into the lives of the people affected by the events that took place in the trilogy.

Unfortunately I can’t keep gushing about the story, else I will find something to spoil and it’s simply too good for that. Lots of kudos to JC for telling such a fantastic story and making the step away from modern day reality believable, I really can’t wait to see what else has up his sleeves.
