Let’s kick this one off with a treat. You keep seeing me talk about how there’s only so many days for penny scraping to get your hands Digital Magic and The Case of the Pitcher’s Pendant. There’s 17 days left by the way, however the good and kind Captain (Tee Morris) and the Bitchin’ (very cool and complimentary usage here) Kiwi (Philippa Ballantine) have decided to release their books in PDF form as well. So, you can find The Case of the Pitcher’s Pendant here, and the squeal to Chasing the Bard, Digital Magic, here. I hope you enjoy them, I can tell you from personal experience that Pitcher’s Pendant is a fantastic book. I’m reading Digital Magic now.
Speaking of the Kiwi, she has released the 18th Chapter of Chasing the Bard. You can find that in the usual place, and if you don’t know where that is by now I have to wonder if you’ve been accessing my site from under a rock.
I believe Tee is working his arse off on getting Morevi 15 out to us, but you know how sneaky real life can be. You can read up on more his adventures at his professional blog IT Studios.
Update - 8am Morevi 15 has been released and can be found here.
Zombinc has released Episode 5 of The Takeover. This is getting funnier by the episode. I really hope you’ve tuned in, but beware; the theme music gets stuck in your head. I’ll go around for hours singing “All we want to do is eat your brains…” Could someone please tell me where I can find that song?
Mighty Mur has had an interesting idea for a book promotion, and since I saw her post regarding that I’ve been humming Dance Magic from Labyrinth. Seriously though, she’s looking for people interested in dancing for a book promotion video, I hear she’s already hooked the Hutch, but we won’t see any of it if she doesn’t get enough people interested. Unfortunately I won’t even send the Dark Goddess a photo of myself, so video is completely out of the question; trust me no one wants to see me do the truffle shuffle. :D But I’ll promote the idea; I think it’s a great one! Bonus, she’s even giving out prizes…almost makes the truffle shuffle worth it. Almost.
On the subject of videos, the FDO, Scott Sigler, has released something almost… dare I say it… CUTE! He released a short 2 minute bit of video explaining why there’s no Nocturnal episode this week; he’s been busting his cadaverous butt on Contagious. I’m as anxious for that book as I am Nocturnal episodes, so all is forgiven. :D Now if only we could get The Rookie in book form or The Starter in podcast form. Sorry, football nut here and I LOVE The Rookie! Also, you might want to check out Epic Fu for the video interview they did with Scott. It’s informative as well as entertaining, provides some advice to budding podcasts and if you look REAL close, while they’re standing outside the Closet of Doom, you can see the corner of either the Triangle blanket Jenn made him or it might be the Hatchling I gave him (in Houston) sitting beside his printer. It’s blue, back and fuzzy. Tee Hee! Yes, I know I’m insane.
Videos and nemesi bring me to the next person on the list, the formidable JC Hutchins. He’s been keeping us gorged on Obsidian content, this week more another Voices from the Darkness. A phone cast (Obsidian 16) and a video cast (Obsidian 17). The video cast includes a spot by the delightful Mighty Mur. JC also dropped Obsidian 18 last night, featuring the conclusion of Nemesis.
Jersey Todd hit us with episode 122, this time talking about Carol Burnett, whom he’s dubbed as the Original Gangster. Give it a listen.
The Backseat Producers tickled my fancy this week by discussing one of my favorite movies of all time, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure. Say what you will about Keanu’s acting, I don’t care, I still loved this film, and the second one too.
I hope you’ll find something enjoyable in this extra long issue of Around the Podiosphere. If you’d like to have information about your podcast included please send us an e-mail at reviews@timeww.com and we’ll get you into the next issue. If you’re wondering how I get the information that I do and why I talk about some people so much, I follow their blogs and follow them on Twitter so I can keep people informed about all that is awesome, at least that I’ve found so far, in podcasting.
Until next week, if you’re going to waste time, waste it well.
