I go by Gemini more often than not these days, at least on the internets. I’m not a “native” Texan, but I got here as fast as I could and am enjoying my life in the Austin area. Great place if you’re looking for really good music, its a very media centric place, all kinds of goodies for film, music and novels can be found here.

I am a contributor to Your Cre8tivity, a card carrying member of the Rockin’ Plot Penguins and the freaky writer behind the Fat Cat Compendium. I have way too much time on my hands, which lead to Time Well Wasted.

Flippant Moniker

Throughout his childhood, Flippant moved around quite a bit, but his family finally settled in Texas when he was eleven. In the early years, stories, D&D, daydreams and flights of fancy occupied his free time. He’d run through the woods for hours every day, hunting for any sign of Smurfs or rats from NIMH, or Robin Hood as a fox. He’d then come home and tell of his adventures through Role-Playing games with his older brother and friends.

During his senior year of high school, Flippant started writing his first manuscript. By the end of summer, the whole 346 page novel was edited, revised and proofed, and then the computer containing it (an Amiga 500) died.

A whole bottle of Elmer’s Glue in the motherboard .. died.. The manuscript exists only in hardcopy form now, covered page after page with the red-ink scribblings of a teenager.

Flippant didn’t work on any large projects again until 2007, when a friend invited him to sign up for NaNoWriMo. The novel that came from 2k7’s NaNo was All Star Boar Band, which Flippant is formatting for podcasting and POD. The second in the same series, Accidental Activists came out of the 2008 NaNo and is currently in the editing phase.
